Oscar Bush, May 11th

This w\Wednesday we arrived to the office at 9:00 am and David had our sketching exercises waiting for us. While he had a meeting Elijah and I practiced mirroring Stravinsky by
Pablo Picasso upsidedown! This is a popular design sketching exercise because it forces you to focus on the shapes rather than what part of the man you are specifically sketching. Once we finished, Elijah and I were eager to get get some bridge designing in so we discussed some possible alterations to out schematics before David returned at 11:00 am. David surprised us with the news that we would be headed to the montreal architecture museum a few blocks down. Elijah and I boogied over there and spent a long while discussing the things that David told us to keep in mind. What creates the space in the garden? What shape is mirrored from the building to the monuments across the street? What makes the atrium one of the most beautiful rooms in Montreal? We happily sketched sculptures, atriums, shrubbery, the building its self, and the schematics of the property, in the sunny 80 degree weather. We finished up at about 1:30 pm and David allowed us ro grab a bite to eat on the way back to thee office. We started back up again 2:10 pm where we talked through our experience with david and showed him our sketches. We were going to finish up our work at the house that day with with our 3d sketching project so we headed with David to maintenance and cut some plexiglass curious how it would play into our work. We arrived home at 3:30 with our materials and watched the video david instructed. We drew on the plexiglass a detailed sketch of our hand contorted in any way to make a challenge. We then copied that drawing onto paper, turning the 3-d to 2-d. Proud of our final products we saved our work and washed up for dinner at 5:30.
